I had the please of documenting Cirque Bijou's Castle Park take over for Bristol Harbour Festival 2016. The level and variety of performance was exceptional and the vibe was relaxed and fun, a dream job! Here's some shots.
Redbrick House is an exciting new addition to Bristols creative scene. It's a four story building in the heart of Stokes Croft that offers a range of spaces suitable for many disciplines and collaborations. The doors opened in July and spaces are currently available but getting snapped up quick!
Here's a few promo photos I took for them.
Here's a short promo I produced for Circus City last year, enjoy!
Glastonbury was quite the roller coaster this year, with the tragic EU results combined with our fantastic English weather it didn't make life easy! But amongst the disbelief there was also a positive feeling of solidarity which was great to experience, thats what the festivals essence is really about.
Heres a few of my highlights, they include a magical performance of Equilibrius at sunset, Bat For Lashes from the photography pit at the John Peel Stage and somehow I ended up on a cherry picker above Shangr-la Hell stage!
I traveled up to Rudyard Lake to photograph Chris Bullzini's amazing reenactment of a the African Blondin's high wire walk of 1864.
For me, this has been one of the most exciting pieces of circus I've ever seen. Chris's immense mastery of wire walking is always breathtaking, on the evening walk it was all emphasised with some perfect natural golden light and pyro's!
This image is made from several exposures, I used some ND to get a 30 second shot of the water, with a fast exposure for the sparkles, combined with some HDR to get the details in the sky and trees. There was just way to much going on for a normal shot!
I'm delighted that a selection of my images have been used for the front cover and inside spreads, check it out!
2016 has started with a bang! I've been exploring the sunnier skies and longer days of New Zealand's north island in a camper van. This is my second visit to New Zealand but first to the north island. The north is much more populated, with a warmer climate, lots of beautiful sandy beaches, surf towns and scatterings of volcanoes and hot springs. Not to mention some big creative cities, Wellington had a very strong Bristol vibe which was fun to discover. Being a fIlm geek I had to visit Hobbiton and Weta works too. Here's a few pics.
Here's a set of promo images I recently created with Matt Pang/Pangottic Circus Theatre. We've worked together many times now on videos and photos, it's always good fun! He tells me that a new website in the making and a ton of exciting shows are coming up, I'm excited to see them. As part of Circus City he fired a dart across the room and into an apple on his head, mad man!

It’s a fantastic feeling when you walk down the street and see one of your images plastered across a giant billboard! There's a second giant billboard on the M32 and posters of all shapes and sizes scattered across the city.
If you haven't already, check out the Circus Cit festival that happening all over Bristol this month, not every city embraces such creativity, show your support by getting involved and buying some tickets :-)
I'm also documenting the entire festival with both photography and video, it's a dream job! More on that later.
I’m excited to share this video we made for the Bullzini Family's spectacular new show Equilibrius.
It was filmed during the premiere at Devizes International Street Festival. The show is just incredible, the skill, tricks and music are all stunning, wrapped up in a playful and romantic narrative set 30 feet above the ground on a one of a kind structure, it’s utterly unique.
A big thanks to Will Clarke and Joseph Aldous for assisting me with the shoot and working in the rain!
